Bay Area Eateries, Destination #9 - Tartine
I’ve been wanting to go to this place for FOREVER. I’m not sure when or how I first heard about it, but I kept hearing it was good. I even wanted to buy the Tartine cookbook (but didn’t :P) before I even visited the bakery. I finally got to check this place out and… one word - AMAZING. The pictures tell all.
We had the frangipane croissant (almond croissant), double pain au chocolat (double chocolate croissant), gougere croissant (cheese croissant), banana cream tart (definitely my favorite!), and lemon cream tart.
There were only four of us. We ate everything. It’s okay to be pigs once in awhile. It’s especially worth it to be pigs at Tartine.
And the fresh flowers in the window were a nice touch :)
